“I Don’t See How I Can Have a Life Outside of Teaching” Saturday September 10, 2016

I worked at the bar last night. I told them I didn’t want any more hours and that I found a full-time teaching job. They said that I’m welcome back over breaks and holidays. That made me happy.

Zooey also showed up last night. We haven’t seen much of each other since I got my job. Her and Graham broke up. 6a0120a4ea77cc970b01676154d8d3970bTurns out, Graham has a daughter. He got a girl pregnant while he was at college. He attended college in California and moved out to Chicago for work. He hasn’t seen his kid since she was a baby. Granted that was 20 years ago, but I was right! Zooey is not much older than Graham’s daughter.

Anyway, Zooey broke it off with Graham and I’m proud of her.

She wants me to go out to the clubs with her tonight. I told her I have too much work to do. She’s not taking “no” for an answer.

I’m not looking forward to it.
