I have to admit that the patrons that go out to that place are good tippers. Better tips than I ever made as a barista. Were most of them men staring at my tits? Well, yeah. Ashley told me that presentation matters and I dressed as skanky as I thought that I could.
But compared to Ashley, I’m not even in the same league. She treats each guy like he was her boyfriend. She sits with them at their table, eats their fries, laughs at their jokes.
She said if it’s her regulars that keep her working there (and I’m pretty sure she’s the reason the regulars keep coming in.) Which makes me understand why Johnny and the others love this bar so much.
The owner likes to have as few on staff as possible. He thinks it’s part of the appeal of any bar to see friendly faces when you walk in.
But still. There are three bartenders, all women. All hot. And two other waitresses and me. (I’m not saying “I’m hot”, but we’re all young at least.)
Is that even legal? I suppose it works for Hooters and Tilted Kilt. So, I’m a little ashamed of myself. But our customers are mostly groups of guys. It is a sports bar. We had baseball games on.
With a small staff on a Saturday night: two bartenders and two waitresses, and three guys working in the kitchen, I made about $400! That’s like $50 an hour! I worked the later shift, too. I worked 7pm to 3am, Ashley was here from 5pm to 1am. The bartenders also split their shifts.
Also, I’ve basically been up for 24 hours straight. I worked this morning at the coffee shop and had to work tonight. I had a little nap after my shift, but it didn’t do much.
I’m going to work the later shift again tomorrow night. Then I’m off Sunday and we’re closed on Mondays.
